Write for InternetTwist
InternetTwist is an independent digital magazine built on a single idea: take the subjects that shape everyday life and give them a fresh, genuinely useful twist. We are always looking for sharp, curious writers who can turn a complicated topic into something a busy reader can act on today. If that sounds like you, we would love to read your pitch.
What InternetTwist Covers
We publish across eight niches, and we welcome contributors in every one of them:
- Technology — practical security, privacy, and digital-life guides, not spec-sheet reviews.
- Finance — budgeting, saving, credit, and investing basics explained without jargon.
- Law — plain-English explainers on tenant rights, consumer rights, small claims, and estate planning.
- Wellness — evidence-informed writing on focus, recovery, nutrition, and mental health.
- Travel — repeatable systems for cheaper flights, smarter planning, and calmer trips.
- Fashion — durable style, fabric knowledge, and buy-better guides.
- Sports — training, recovery, and smarter ways to watch and understand the games.
- Entertainment — thoughtful guides to what to watch, play, read, and hear next.
What We Look For
The strongest InternetTwist pieces share a handful of traits. Keep these in mind before you pitch:
- A clear, specific angle a reader has not seen a hundred times already.
- Firsthand experience, original reporting, or hard-won know-how behind the words.
- A logical structure: a strong opening, scannable subheadings, short paragraphs, and lists where they help.
- Claims backed by reputable, linkable sources rather than opinion presented as fact.
- A confident, plain-spoken voice that respects the reader’s time.
What We Pass On
We decline thin machine-spun drafts, undisclosed sponsored posts, keyword-stuffed filler, listicles with no substance, and anything that has already run elsewhere. Everything you send must be original and yours to publish. If a topic touches money, health, or the law, we hold it to an even higher bar for sourcing and accuracy.
How to Pitch
Send a short email to hello@internettwist.com with the subject line “Pitch: your topic.” A good pitch includes:
- A one-paragraph summary of the idea and why it matters now.
- A working headline and three to five bullet points on what you will cover.
- Which of our eight niches it fits.
- Two links to published work, or a short writing sample if you are newer.
We read every pitch and aim to reply within about two weeks. If we have not responded by then, you are free to place the piece elsewhere. We prefer complete pitches over full drafts, since most stories change shape once we talk them through with you.
Editorial Standards
Contributors agree to fact-check their work, cite trustworthy sources, and disclose any affiliate or sponsored relationship up front. We do not accept plagiarism, fabricated quotes, or hidden paid links. Every draft is edited for clarity, accuracy, and house style before it runs, and we may ask for revisions. We will always talk with you before making a substantial change to your argument.
Rights and Credit
Published contributors receive a byline and a short author bio with one link. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we ask for first publication rights and the right to keep the piece live on InternetTwist; you keep ownership of your work.
Finance, law, and wellness pieces are strictly educational and must never read as professional advice. Please review our editorial policy and disclaimer before you write, and see our affiliate disclosure for how we handle links. When you are ready, pitch us at hello@internettwist.com.
